The world media have successfully humiliated athlete Caster Semenya into a recluse. Reports have surfaced that she is ‘completely shattered’ by the claims that she is half male.
At 18 the South African 800m world champion is in hiding at Pretoria University since numerous claims surfaced stating her gender tests have proved she has male organs (internal testes) and that she has no womb.
And South African Athletics official Phiwe Mlangeni-Tsholetsane has criticized the media and various sports agencies for not empathizing with Semenya’s struggles in coming to terms with such abrupt and global publicity.
